November 14, 2009 (PRWEB) Myersville, MD – ACC Global Compliance specializes in CE Marking for compliance with European legislation (Directives). CE Marking is required for any equipment operating in the European Union (EU) and in December 2009 a new Machinery Directive will take effect, imposing new technical and administrative requirements. ACC has prepared for these new regulations and will be able to make the transition seamless and worry free for manufacturers exporting their equipment into the EU.
Various legislations have emerged from the EU over the years. These Directives serve to regulate many different categories of products and equipment and are binding laws that all EU member countries must comply with. Before a CE Mark can be affixed to a product or machine, all technical safety requirements must be met. ACC Global Compliance helps exporters to the EU meet the compliance requirements associated with CE Marking. Because there are a multitude of Directives relating to various product categories, ACC is a much needed expert in securing the CE Mark.
European Directives are enacted at different times and are subject to amendments, so ACC remains vigilant in order to help its customers adapt to the changing regulatory environment. “The new Machine Directive has no transition period, so those selling into the European marketplace need to prepare quickly,” said Frederick Sevin, VP of the Industrial Division for Global Compliance. “We have designed our services to make the changes as easy as possible for our clients,” he added.
Among several changes in the new Machine Directive 2006/42/EC, which replaces the Machinery Directive 98/37/EC starting December, 29, 2009, is that any manufacturer who is exporting machines to the European Union must indicate in their Declaration of Conformity the name and address of a company or person in the EU, who is authorized to compile their Technical File, upon request by the national authorities. To assist companies in meeting the obligations of the new requirements, ACC Global Compliance can serve as this Authorized EU Contact, or if necessary can be listed as the EU Authorized Representative.
ACC Global Compliance will be meeting the demands of the new regulations head on. With a robust online knowledge-base and new services to help companies nationwide cope with this new Directive, ACC is poised for tremendous growth in 2010. “By providing superior services and by constantly adapting to international regulations, we can take the complications out of EU distribution,” said Sevin. Indeed, ACC Global Compliance has earned their top position in companies providing CE Marking services.
